The MX921-1F V2 is a rugged, 802.11ax industrial explosion-proof tri-band wireless access point designed for mission-critical wireless coverage in hazardous areas. With an EX d IIC T6 Gb/ExtD A21 IP68 T80°C rating and a 304 stainless steel housing, it is engineered to operate safely and reliably in explosive gas and dust environments.

Supporting IEEE 802.11 g/gn/an/ac/ax, the MX921-1F V2 delivers a combined maximum wireless rate up to 6573.5 Mbps across three radios (2.4 GHz + dual 5 GHz). 2x2 and 4x4 MIMO, high 23 dBm transmit power, and dual-band omnidirectional antennas provide strong coverage and high throughput for dense industrial deployments.

Built for Harsh Industrial Environments
The enclosure reaches IP68 protection level and is designed to operate from -40°C to +80°C with 5–95% non-condensing humidity, making it suitable for outdoor, underground, and heavy-industrial sites where dust, moisture, and temperature extremes are normal operating conditions.

Flexible Deployment & Power Options
MX921-1F V2 supports multiple operating modes including Access Point, Client, WDS AP, and WDS Client, allowing flexible topologies for backhaul and client access. 2.5GbE copper and 2.5G SFP ports simplify integration into high-speed industrial networks, while 802.3bt PoE power over 100 meters makes installation easier where AC power is limited.

Advanced Management & Positioning Services
The device can be managed via web interface, wireless controller (AC), or SNMP, supporting centralized configuration, monitoring, and upgrades. It also integrates with Maxon’s information positioning system and supports wireless probe-based positioning, ideal for smart pipeline galleries, factories, and underground mines requiring both coverage and location awareness.
