The APU3D4 System Board is a high-performance, small-form-factor board that is designed for network and communication applications. It is powered by an AMD Embedded G series GX-412TC processor, which features a quad Jaguar core with 64-bit and AES-NI support, 32K data and 32K instruction cache per core, and a shared 2MB L2 cache.

The board comes with 2 or 4 GB of DDR3-1333 DRAM and can boot from an SD card, external USB or m-SATA SSD. It also features 1 SATA and power connector, and the mSATA is shared with miniPCI express. The system board has a 12V DC power input and consumes about 6 to 12W depending on CPU load. The power jack is 2.5 mm and center positive.

Connectivity is provided by three Gigabit Ethernet channels (Intel i211AT), which make it ideal for network and communication applications. The board also features a DB9 serial port, 2 USB 3.0 external and 4 USB 2.0 internal ports, three front panel LEDs, and a pushbutton.

The APU3D4 System Board offers expansion options with 3 miniPCI express slots (J14 USB or mSATA, with SIM; J15 USB only, with SIM; J16: full miniPCI express, but no SIM, intended for wifi). It also has a GPIO header, optional I2C bus, and COM2 (3.3V RXD/TXD).

The board measures 6 x 6" (152.4 x 152.4 mm), the same as apu1d, & alix2d13. Making it easy to fit into various enclosures. The firmware used is coreboot, and the board features conductive cooling from the CPU to the enclosure using a 3 mm aluminum heat spreader, which is included.
